And with it, of course, the return of the yearly Vivid Halloween fanart contest!
This year marks the 21st anniversary of our ghoulish fanart contest, and we’re proud to have been handing out spooooky prizes for nearly a quarter of a century!
Ok but how do I enter? (if I darE)
You can enter by responding to our X post here with any original art you’ve made featuring Vivid Publishing characters!
These characters do not have to be Dreamkeepers characters, they can, again, be any characters from any Vivid IP.
Be sure to mention what category your art is being entered into in your post!
Yeah, but what are the categories?
You can enter fanart into any of the following cateogires:
Best Art
Funniest
Creepiest
Sexiest (SFW)
Best Costume
Best Comic
3D (Figurines, pumpkins, CG models, etc)
AI-Art
Again, please make sure your desired category is mentioned in your reply to this post on X, or we won’t be able to consider your entry!
Alright, but what’s in it for me?
On top of having everyone be able to see your totally cool art, this year you can win the following fabulous spooktacular prizes:
Grand Prize
Grand Prize winners are awarded a super scary Glow-in-the-dark Jack-o-Lantern Pin! (Which will never be sold in stores!)
Second Prize
Winning second prize for your chosen category will net you a beautiful Digo Pin! (also available for purchase)
Which pairs nicely with this month’s Indi pledge pin (available on patreon) to make a nice set.
So what are the rules?
Entries to the Vivid Fanart contest are open to characters from ANY Vivid comics or games! Dreamkeepers, Bethellium, UberQuest, Cloudscratcher, Garage Band, Yark, and any crossovers you can imagine.
Submissions should involve Vivid characters in some way, but beyond that, you are free to exercise creative license. The Halloween theme is suggested but by no means required – the main point of this contest is for you to have fun! Fanart that has competed in our previous contests isn’t eligible to be entered again, but if it’s never been in the contest before then feel free to submit it.
A person can submit as many entries as they want- be sure your entry says which category it is being submitted to. There is no limit to how many prizes a person can win, only a limit to how many prizes a single entry can win. (one prize per entry maximum.)
Each entry is considered for its announced category, and also for the Best Art category as a default possibility.
NOTE: If you want credit on the stream, include your X handle somewhere in the image itself! We don’t chart which account posted what when we are collecting and judging, so your image has to speak for itself.+
